The Master Musicians of Jajouka represent an ancient musical tradition. Led today by Bachir Attar, they live in the small village of Jajouka, Morocco, about two hours south of Tangier. Their hereditary leader is Bachir Attar and The Master Musicians of Jajouka have been recognized by an official proclamation from the government of the Kingdom of Morocco.

The legendary Master Musicians of Jajouka are led today by Bachir Attar and are considered the first world music group. The Master Musicians under Bachir's leadership have recorded and collaborated with numerous well-known musical artists including The Rolling Stones on the Stones' Steel Wheels album. The legacy of the Master Musicians is being preserved for future generations to enjoy, with worldwide performances and CDs.
